The accommodation was lovely, with a great view of the pool and gardens. We had weddings to attend, so we didn’t spend much time at the accommodation, but it was enjoyable for the time we had.
We slept very well and would book there again.
Not bad, but a few things that were very impractical: Kitchen faucet can't open, too close to the wall, no work surface. Power plugs are too few and dangerous on loose extension cords. Sink plugs do not close properly. Entrance to shower, have to struggle past sink corner.

It is a nice place, we had a great time with my friends, but needs a lot of maintenance, supervision to be consistent for cleanliness.
Unit was clean and tidy. The area is quiet. Only problem was when it was load shedding, and the fan stopped working, the unit was very hot with only the option of leaving the doors open. Would recommend putting a safety gate (with mesh for mosquitoes) in front of the doors so that one can keep the doors open in such a case.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was very clean and tidy, and our bathroom was very large with a bath and shower. The stoep with the braai was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the big lapa and nice clean swimming pool.
Plekkie is perfect for a short period of time. Friendly welcome. If neat and clean. Just a suggestion: just inform guests about cleaning service, and please get the guests' permission before someone comes to clean their unit when they are not there. I didn't like someone moving and handling our personal stuff while we weren't there or aware of it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Vulture Creek. The view from our room and patio was beautiful and the pool was lovely. I really appreciated receiving a location pin and load shedding schedule from the owner on the morning of my reservation.

We were kindly received by the host. The room is neatly laid out with a nice sitting area and swimming pool. Everything was nice clean and tidy, and although rooms are not very big, everything is laid out practically so that it doesn't feel cramped.

Good location and beautiful scenery. I would recommend it for small groups as it has a great set-up. We were not happy about the attention to detail as the white bedding was not clean, there were black marks on the cushion covers, and the duvet cover had a burnt hole in it. But these things can be improved on, and overall I would still recommend Vulture Creek to a friend.

It was good, nice. The place can do with some improvements but it was a good weekend.
What a nice place slept very well had heaters and warm blankets on beds. All negative Karoo no. 2's space between sink and glass for shower is not for big people. You have to turn across and grind through. Would recommend sliding glass next to sink in more space at toilet side. Then tiles in the shower are smooth. Just be careful there. Had clean towels and cutlery for us. Many thanks to Uncle Herman and his three dogs who kindly received us and took us to the accommodation.

It is more suitable for summer, in winter it is a bit cool, but there are warm blankets and a heater in the room. Would recommend for 2 "couples" wanting to get away together for a weekend.

Awesome place, it fits all occasions, business, honeymoon, or with a family. The little braai area, lapa, boma, and jacuzzi are so stunning. The rooms are so clean and quiet. The only low is not having a remote for gate 2 and gate 1, the remote is not programmed.
Upon arrival we expected something completely different. There were quite a few things that didn't work at all in the unit, or weren't there: The lights at the boma's braai didn't work. When it was fixed the next day, it was still not light enough to have a good time and eat there. The grill was very unstable and finally - it needs to be replaced. The boma was dirty and full of leaves. It was definitely not swept and tidied in the morning. We really wanted to swim, but the pool is very far from the unit and really only suitable for the other small units. The lights upstairs in the bathroom did not work. Only on the 2nd day did the caretaker let us know where the light switch was (behind the bedside table on the far side), because we assumed that the 3 switches work for the entire room and bathroom when one comes up the stairs. The shower downstairs was blocked. There was no wine bottle opener. Everything just looked like it wasn't quite clean and tidy. We really wanted to swim because it was really, really hot, but the pool is very far from the unit and really only suitable for the other guests' unit. They can't advertise there is a pool then, if it's actually exclusive to the other units? It was actually very expensive for what you got. It is definitely below average and was actually very happy when we had to go home. I would not recommend Vulture Creek to anyone.
Myself, wife and 2 boys booked in and were happy with our booking the place is remote and quiet which I enjoyed. The 1 Km leading to the venue is gravel. There is no TV which I was happy with but the boys were not. No Wi-Fi which I was still happy with but the boys were not. We slept at Karroo 5 and the bed I slept on was just making noise at every movement we made the rest of the other beds the boys told me they we ok.

I actually do not have much to say about the place because at night me and my friend were chased by the bat for the whole night and we were really scared to death. The reason might be caused by the chimney that is in one of the bedrooms.
It was probably one of the best places ever, it was just great!
We had great time and we were well welcomed. What we would recommend is that they install TV's and wifi as we are now at the 4IR, so we need to advance with the times.

We had a wonderful stay at Vulture Creek and would recommend the accommodation to anyone. The host was very friendly and helpful. There was a place nearby where we could go and get very good food. Our beds were nice and warm when we got in that evening because the host had already put the warm sheets on. We felt safe and didn't mind leaving our luggage in the house while we went away during the day. We will definitely stay there again if we go to Hartbeespoort.
We called when we got to the gate, they opened for us and explained where to go, keys were in our unit. Very quiet place with everything you need. Very nice fried and overslept.

Herman says they are in the process of upgrading the entire resort, but as it stands now, the place and facilities are in serious need of attention. The place has fantastic potential, but basic things need attention and the fine judgment of the fairer sex is needed. Will go there again but only when upgrade is completed.
This was the most pathetic accommodation I have had in a very long time. Unit is unsafe because exterior doors cannot close. The door is literally open due to neglect. Everything is broken. Toilet is broken. Sink is broken. The crockery is broken. One cup for two people. The stove is broken. It switches off so the food can't get hot. No place to braai because it's raining. No shelter when it rains. The common lapa's roof also leaks. The lapa's pillows are about 100 years old. Broken and neglected. Water went off due to negligence. We couldn't even flush the toilet. Tiles are broken. Cupboards are broken. There is only one bedside table and no table or anything to put your things on, just a lumbar sofa. Beds are very uncomfortable. Springs make a terrible noise. Pillows are terrible. . The one unit's bathroom hinged door does not work and cannot close. . The list goes on and on. . The description says there is a view of the river and pond. We could only see long grass, persimmon bush and trees. The price they charge for what you get is scary!. Pathetic!

Road very bad. No coffee/milk/sugar put out. Had to drive back to nearest petrol station to get milk etc. Bedding clean but couch very dirty. On arrival no power. Owner came later, turned it on, lights wouldn't work - only bedside lamps, no TV, etc. Owner later brought a loose tube light connected to a gate battery.
There is a lot of damage to the place (Karoo 6) where we slept. And the damage you can see has been there for a long time, but the owner informed us about it a few days before our arrival. Which was too late. There was no time to look for other accommodation. Upon arrival the damage was 10 times more than stated. Ceiling is black and damaged, lots of ants. Water damage on the wall, stumps lying everywhere, fridge doesn't seal properly and and and.
Herman was an excellent host, our chalet was clean, the kitchen had almost all the equipments to use. We felt really welcomed and looking forward to another visit.

Nice place, but the place needs a deep cleaning - curtains were filthy. And second bedroom needs to have the mattress replaced. The lounge sofa cover was torn. The kitchen door not functioning. bathroom sliding door needs attention.
We will definitely come next time for a longer period than just 1 night.
