16 guests' feedbackWas great for our Christmas weekend with family. Beautiful decor. Kitchen well equipped. (Maybe provide dish pods). Several serious plumbing issues that weren't dealt with when asked.
Unfortunately, we felt that the house could be better stocked with more cutlery and crockery suitable for catering for oneself. For a group of 6 people, the glasses for example were very little - not even 6 of everything. If you want to market a house as being able to accommodate 10 people, you should provide 10 of everything. Plates were enough, some crockery items like teaspoons definitely not. Cereal bowls are also not enough for a group of 10. It also would be nice to have very basic pantry items for catering for yourself, such as salt, black pepper, olive oil, both coffee and tea (not just tea). We also visited the Post Office in 2019, and then for example there were salt, black pepper and olive oil - which now 4 years later in 2023 was unfortunately not the case. . But overall still a great experience.
We enjoyed the fact that we could take our doggies to the Wine Bar next door. Was very cosy and relaxing. Food and wine were delicious and not the norm. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Fireplace and electric blankets were definitely a plus as it was freezing. All in all an enjoyable stay.
Right next to the Wine Bar which is a nice gathering place for everyone in town. We had a cozy time around the fire, but did struggle with hot water. We had a good time and explored the dusty streets. Had breakfast at Benjamin's, twilight cups at The Service Station and continued by the fireplace, read and played cards. If you want to rest, this is the place for you.

When we arrived it was during load shedding Valma, had done everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would truly recommend the post office to anyone that visits Rosendal.
House was very nice and well equipped. Marius is very helpful and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. House has everything needed and the gas oven and stove are definitely a big plus. Just a small comment: The curtains in the master bedroom bathroom are full of old dead animals and just need a good scrubbing. Bathroom upstairs bath does not have hot water, but we did not need it.
House was stylishly restored with good quality furniture and bedding. Great atmosphere. Had a great time.
Beautiful surroundings, interesting old houses and history, delicious meals at the restaurant right next to the post office, and at Glas (next to the Rosendal hotel).
We were a family with small children and a grandfather and grandmother. It is a lovely, spacious house with a lovely porch. Marius our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. There could be a little more knives and forks️️️. Thank you for such a nice, peaceful weekend!
We really enjoyed our stay, everything is really nice and Marius was very accommodating. Please be just be very careful on the roads. Our city car didn't do so well there! The village itself is lovely. The farmers soon got together and went to fix our car outside the village. Beautiful people!

Incredibly well equipped and perfect for a weekend getaway!
What you get is exactly like the photos. Perfectly clean - lots of character. Marius received us kindly and immediately sent more wood for the fireplace after we burned out the existing stock. The electric blankets on the beds are perfect for the cold Rosendal nights. We will definitely visit there again.
Loved the wine bar next door and walking around the town. All the best things in a small free state town.
