"The unit was sufficient for our stay but was clearly more suitable for a fishing trip."

There aren't any signposts or directions to guide one to the cottage. It was not made clear that it is located within another complex. The entry to the complex is not signposted, we were only given a pin and instructions when we were stuck towing a trailer on the road to a complex that is closed off with a chain. The light in the toilet off the lounge was not working. The roof was leaking and the distribution board is in that room. One of the plates on the stove kept tripping the lights.

I was surprised by the location, neatness and safety of the premises. The service was excellent and a high five for the helper, Jenelle.

The toilet paper and DStv are not provided by the owner. It was a real self catering experience. The resort is wonderful but does not seem to integrate its hosts who sell a variety of beadwork as well as fresh out of the ocean oysters just outside its gates. There are too many stray dogs. There are no ATMs for at least a 30 minute drive. The resort should also get into a payment arrangement with the guides who loiter beyond the gates begging for scraps. They should create a bouquet of services for everything on offer. This also gives comfort to a customer who has to go through a forest with a stranger to get to the whole in the wall.

The cottage was everything we expected it to be. Nice close to beach and pool. Very convenient. Not luxurious, but perfectly adequate for our needs. The complex itself can only get noisy on a weekend.

Unit had not been cleaned of previous guests. Kitchen was full of dishes, fridge full of food, porch full of stumps and dust, beds unmade. No one spoke to us throughout the day about what time we would arrive and when we got there around 6pm after 12 hours on the road we had to wait at least an hour for a key. The unit has a private owner, Nicky and she lives in Natal and not nearby or on site. A lady came to open after a long wait and said the premises were not clean because she was at a funeral. I contacted Nicky and she said they don't always read her messages and she messaged to say the premises needed to be cleaned. It is Nicky's job to follow up after such a message with her staff whether the message has been received and whether the premises will be clean. It was not done. We stood in the dark and torrential rain and had to call Nicky and say the site was dirty. She moved us to another site and messaged me to ask if we were ok. It was late, we were soaking wet, hungry and dead tired. The other premises were also dirty. Toothpaste in sink, dirty toilet, porch was a mess of eggshells etc. We made the beds ourselves with linen from the closet. Extremely pathetic and for the money it was no value, curtains hang crooked and without clips. Now, if we paid half the money, I could still understand, but for double that, it's ridiculous. We have now traveled a lot and stayed in beautiful other accommodation for less money. Old furniture is still acceptable, but dirty! No what!
