My only suggestion would be to not have white linen - especially when you are hosting a family with small children. I was constantly on edge about the linen becoming dirty - which we completely avoided. This is a mere suggestion.
The apartment is beautifully clean and neat. It had everything I needed. The view is beautiful and peaceful. It is very conveniently situated. The host was extremely friendly and always easy to get hold of. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Really enjoyed my stay at Billfish. It was very quiet which I prefer but in saying that I was the only one staying there, so not sure how the noise levels would be if it was full. Might be a good idea to get a WiFi booster as the only place the signal was OK was in the bedroom. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

From check-in to check-out could not have asked for better. Friendly and helpful family of helpers and staff where nothing was too much trouble. Great accommodation, facilities and view where everything you need (or can think of) has been provided. Spotlessly clean and secure with a pool. Magnificent view from the deck that is complete with a braai, picnic table and umbrella. Lovely lounge area that even has games and reading material. Airconditioned with ceiling fans. A nice touch was the two bags of ice in the freezer of a fully equipped kitchen. Book now to avoid disappointment. Thank you to all who made our stay great! P.S. This was a wow experience. Chris and Clare were excellent hosts. The layout of the apartment was well planned and cosy. Site easily accessible with beautiful view. Travelled quite extensively, this stay in respect of value for money presently tops our chart.

We had a very pleasant time at Billfish Apartments. It was quiet and our view was one of the highlights. We were close to everything and could do as we pleased, when we pleased which was very convenient. Unit was equipped with everything we needed and crockery deposit was promptly refunded in our account, without us having to ask or wait. We are very pleased with the place!

Owner was in apartment at times which limited our privacy. The parking is very inconvenient, especially the setting when the alarm is on and you have 3 minutes to leave the parking area. On the website it indicates that there is DStv which was not there at all. Access to beach is not walking distance at all as indicated on website. No light at braai area if you want to braai or sit on the porch.
You feel you have to be careful all the time. There are notices everywhere about how you will lose your deposit if something is not in place when you leave. Nevertheless, our deposit was refunded immediately after our departure and the stay was pleasant.
We enjoyed our holdiday at the Billfish Apartments it was clean and had everything (appliances, cutlery etc) available. We also enjoyed our swim every day after coming back from the beach. The place had good security and the owners were very friendly.
We stayed in the "Swordfish apartment" and even though we initially thought it was a bit cute, it didn't bother us as a young married couple! It's definitely value for money with the excellent service, above normal security settings and a big treat with the place being renovated every day during the week, especially if you're on holiday! The very comfortable king-size bed made it extremely difficult to get up in the morning and the apartment is equipped with all the essentials, even for people like us who simply grilled something on our porch every night. As Ballito is all humps and slopes, it wasn't really ideal for walking to the beach, but it would surely be close enough if it was less climbing. All in all, I don't have anything negative to say, a lovely, peaceful holiday!
Billfish Apartments (Sailfish Room) was by far one of the best holidays that we have had. Chris and Clare went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible - they were exceptional hosts. Our apartment was spacious and had such a beautiful view - the apartment had the most comfortable bed and was equipped with much more than expected - to make you feel right at home. Shopping Centres and the beach within 2 km away. We recommend Billfish Apartments Ballito to anyone and we will definitely be returning ourselves. The security system in place puts you right at ease and our breakage deposit was paid back into our account within a few hours of departure. We arrived there as strangers and left as friends.

Nice apartment with not so reliable servicing. The bed in this apartment was very hard. A few restless nights. I requested an extra blanket to soften the bed a little but got no response from management. We left 1 day earlier. The security alarm system was very frustrating and not as safe as they think it is. The main gate opens every time you disarm the alarm, leaving an opportunity to anyone to enter premises without anybody seeing at night. False alarms on outside system and smoke detector in apartment. Last but not least, the host (gentlemen) not very friendly.
Billfish Apartments was by far the best accommodation and experience we have come across. The location was perfect, about 1km from the sea. The stay was perfect. It is neat and clean and has all kinds of things that were needed and more than can be expected from a self-catering unit. There are two wonderful chocolate labradors with the friendliest attitude who love visiting you and playing together in the pool, but there are also gates at all units that can keep them out if you are not so animal friendly. Although the units are right around the host and hostess's home, they are incredibly private. The security is amazing with a system that works very well for guests. The best part of this experience at Billfish Apartments was the friendly host and hostess, Chris and Clare. They make sure your holiday with them remains unforgettable and make sure you feel as at home as possible, always ready to help with anything and they are also happy to refer you to the best experiences in the area of Ballito and nearby areas. We would recommend this holiday at Billfish Apartments to anyone as a must experience. What's also nice about the units is that the units look modern but natural and feel like you're staying in the tropical forest near the beach. They are also very quick to refund your security deposit after you leave them. We drove literally 2 hours after we received the email confirming our security deposit was refunded. Again, a great place to rest and especially get rid of the stress of busy life or just have a nice experience away from home in Ballito.
