Any person's dream to escape from the city. Very peaceful place gives peace to the soul.
Unfortunately, my head was smashed to pieces with a low frame door in the Old Homestead. Beautiful, but certainly not for tall men and women. And, after the lovely rains of the previous night, the bathroom pipes left an unpleasant sound. Would be good if Pierre-them could take a look at it. It was truly a very nice dead silence, breathtaking nature experience. Nice.
Perfect place for a relaxing weekend.
Such a spectacular weekend away and it was just what we needed. The views were breathtaking from our cabin. Protea Farm is really a piece of heaven on earth and I'm already planning my next trip. Thank you to Dia and the Burger family for hosting us and making our stay so incredible.
Perfectly located for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle and walk to the top of the mountain to fully take in the scenery.
If you like nature and also like to break away from the norm, this is a great place. Populiersbos is great with its open room, donkey for hot water and solar power.
Beautiful farm and friendly owners. Very neat and clean. Well appointed. Would recommend for those who want to get away from the city and be closer to nature.
A group of 11 in Panorama Cottage and wow it was beyond our expectations. Protea Farm will without a doubt see us soon.
We had a wonderful weekend at Protea Farm. The Waterblommetjie cottage is so well located, and the atmosphere is peaceful and safe. The curtains can only be replaced at some point, and the light in the bathroom does not provide any light in the evening because it is too dim, but otherwise everything is well furnished and we had a very nice stay. We will definitely visit Protea Farm again!
Just make sure you understand the layout of the beds.
The Panorama Cottage is neat and has everything you need for such a getaway. We fully absorbed the scenery (even with the fire damage that clearly caused damage to the farm) and there are hiking trails to get you heart pumping. There are beautiful majestic trees under which you can lay down, read a book or to chat with your loved ones. The cellphone signal is not great, but it helps to be cut of from the rat race of the outside world. We definitely recommend it for a getaway where you can relax and recharge.
Thank you very much, the stay was great, celebrated cousin's 50th birthday there for the weekend, it was fantastic and the trekker trip was just as fun. Definitely recommended for a getaway.
