We stayed there for 4 nights. My husband did the bike races there so I slept there alone for 2 nights while they rode bikes. Wonderfully quiet, go for a walk and just relax. We will definitely book with you again next year if he starts driving again.
Kaleo is a beautiful farm. We had a great time camping and walking and cycling. Would definitely recommend it.

Perhaps Wi-Fi in the home as it would provide any guest the ability to connect to internet in case of virtual work responsibilities.
The residential units are beautiful, clean and tidy. Everything that was needed is provided. The environment is open and spacious, the nights and skies are simply phenomenal. Then we are not even talking about the watering hole. Not only is it unique and beautiful. It is safe and very well maintained. I will go again for sure.
The tranquility, the beauty of nature, it was wow to be at Kaleo Farm. The cottages look very beautiful and the children really enjoyed them and we as adults.

Very nice and serviceable cottage with everything you need and more in a very nice environment.
We stayed in the flatlet with a beautiful view of the farm. The sheep and lambs were almost on our front porch. The moose were also beautiful. The watering hole is a bonus, as are all the cycling and walking trails. Beautiful, well maintained farm.
Very good venue, could do with some essential shop at the venue like bread, frozen meat for the braai as it is a drive to find a shop open.
Loved the neat tidy rooms, the sheep in the fields and the peace and quiet. Ideal spot for a weekend away if you love mountain biking and hiking. Be sure to take warm clothes for the evenings, it's not called the Koue Bokkeveld for nothing.
Wonderful accommodation, residential units very well equipped, clean and beautiful. We were there for the Munga Grit, so cell phone reception/WiFi was an issue, but it remains a great destination if you don't depend on WiFi.

The privates are far apart and offer privacy. There are many activities for all ages.
We stayed after the sports event but would like to come and stay in the future just to enjoy the view and atmosphere. Everything nice and clean with a lovely view.

Kaleo is the most beautiful farm with green grass to camp on. Each campsite with its own braai and bathroom. One of the best campsites yet!
Great break from the city's hustle and bustle. We were kindly received. Everything was exactly as we hoped it would be. The swimming hole is a little further from the luxury campsite than one would have liked. The peacocks were cute, but when they woke us up at 4am every morning, we were not impressed.

We rented the Boskamp from Kaleo, and will compare all our camps with it in the future! Amazing space, secluded from the rest of the camp, shade, all the amenities we needed and at a very good price. Plus, it's the closest camp to the (excellent!) swimming hole. We are already planning to return.
We stayed at the bush camp and had the place to ourselves. The children could play and swim with ease. We will definitely go back without a doubt.

This venue caters for all young and old there are nice surroundings with animals to see and also lots of space for the family to have fun or just to chill if your on your own. You can just chill or have fun, ride your bike or go for a hike or swim. Hope to see you soon we had a great experience.
The distance on the website is very misleading. It takes you right into Prince Alfred's Hamlet, but then it's another 25 km further, up the very dangerous Gydo Pass and in the end a long stretch of dirt road, which is not mentioned at all. Also, we booked a flatlet with a double bed and when we got there, we were told that flatlets only have two single beds, but we could upgrade to a cottage with a double bed at extra cost. We drove up to the flatlets, luckily I was able to open my reservation, cell phone reception is very poor there, my reservation clearly said double bed. We were then moved over to the cottages because I threw quite a quiet tantrum. In the end, the blame for the misunderstanding was placed on the website's shoulders, but I feel that if I book with any resort, it remains the resort's responsibility to check the ads. We had a very nice stay, very nice place and comfortable bed, but since our goal was to visit family and we had to drive up and down the mountain twice a day, we drove 300 km unnecessarily and also at night while the drive fruit trucks. We didn't use the barbecue facilities, but there are no canopies, so if you barbecue, the sun will roast you and the cars will be in the sun all day.
The managers of the resort were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Directions to the resort and reception on the farm are quite difficult and no mobile phone reception. However, the units are beautiful, well appointed, clean and safe.

My family and I enjoyed our 2 day camping trip in the Luxury campsites. The location is stunning and the peacocks entertained my two little ones. My teenager loved the WiFi and well my husband and I enjoyed just relaxing while the kids were busy. The bathrooms were very clean and all the staff was so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back in February.
We were received with great hospitality. We missed the turnoff, phoned and were given clear directions. Contact numbers at security to open the gate, and we were told about the Arts and Culture Festival which we attended. Commendable all round.
It was a memorable weekend. The atmosphere, accommodation and hospitality were first class. We are definitely looking forward to next year!
The fridge and freezer in the Manor House are just too small for a home that can accommodate 8 people and keep all the meat, fresh and dairy products, beverages and ice cold. However, we will visit Kaleo again and come prepared instead regarding fridge and freezer facilities.
We had a great stay in their new house that opened this weekend. Will come again.
The farm is very beautiful and spacious, with plenty of space for different activities. The cottage we stayed in is perfectly located near the dam, with very nice views. The place is nicely equipped with a braai outside and inside, as well as DStv which was nice for the children in the evening. The very best surprise was when we went to bed the first night, and then noticed that there were electric blankets on the beds - it was very cold, so it was so lovely to get into a nice warm bed. We will definitely go back there again.

If you need a quiet break, away from your busy daily routine and scenery, Kaleo Guest Farm is the perfect place. Amazed by the breath taking view of the Cerderburg Mountains and calming dam from my bed each morning when I woke up, to hear hearing the little lamb from a distance was a little piece of heaven to me. Let me not forget about the braai area at the "Swemgat". To mention every moment would be impossible, but I really want to thank Kaleo Guest Farm for their great and kind service though out my 3 days there, especially Alet. I will definitely be seeing you soon and bringing my family with me.
The unit was very neat and spacious. There is plenty of space for the kids to play outside and units are far enough apart that you don't disturb anyone else. The service was good, until the Sunday there was someone who stopped by to hear if we still needed wood (because it was getting really cold) and then immediately brought us more as we needed. Would recommend to anyone!
We had a wonderful rest and visit in this spacious and clean house with indoor and outdoor barbecues. Many birds identified. Walk and drive up and around the large farm.

We stayed 4 nights in a flatlet. If it was possible we would definitely want to stay longer. Linen is spotless and we have the extras such as shampoo, hand washing soap, etc. much appreciated There were also the most delicious biscuits, coffee, tea and milk. They do that little extra that makes them stand out.
We as a family enjoy the swemgat thoroughly.

The wife and I pushed on and enjoyed the hiking trail. Swimming hole is a great pastime in the summer heat. Cottage was beautiful, tidy and fully equipped.
Camp site is beautiful with grass and ablution and washing place per stand. The farm is beautiful and large with cycling paths and walking trails. The watering hole is breathtakingly beautiful! Have a great visit!

Excellent location and very good facilities - friendly staff who give individual attention where needed. The chalets are well equipped with special attention to items that are sometimes overlooked (well thought out) and we didn't need anything extra. Excellent MTB routes that are well marked and lead through breathtaking scenery - from short to challenging - there is something for everyone. Will definitely go again.
Kaleo is located in a beautiful area and the accommodation was very neat and clean. Everything needed is in the apartment and we enjoyed walking and cycling to explore the area. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

The cottage was very clean and modern, with everything one needs. Our only recommendations: maybe get benches for the suitcases in the rooms, and let people know how to get in and out at the gate. Children (and us) could enjoy cycling on the farm.

What a beautiful and peaceful campsite! Very nice camping, hot water was only a problem at the luxury camping site. Gas was on/water didn't get hot, feel it was something that should have been looked at before we arrived. Other than that it was fun and will definitely go again!

We camped at pitch no 1. The only "problem" encountered was the speed at which the vehicles drive - and not only guests, but more so the staff. There were quite a few small children. I would suggest putting in "speed-bumps" to reduce the speed. Other than that we had an absolutely great time camping and will go back again.
The perfect place to stay if you want peace and to get away from all the noise and hassle of the city. The cottages have a beautiful view - watching the sunset in the evening was awesome & waking up to the sight of mountains and the dam was great. The cottage is very comfortable with everything that you need.

I may have read it wrong, but I would just say on the ad that Kaleo is about 35 km from Ceres.
Units were dirty and then the smell of the pit toilets hanging over the place was not very pleasant.
Very nice and quiet, it's very cold in the winter, but there is every resource of heat, air con, heaters, electric blankets and an indoor fireplace. The houses are fully equipped and furnished, it makes you feel at home.

Very cute place. We ahd a lovely time camping the the "own" bathroom and braai room that each campsite has, makes it convenient if you have small children. Tip: lids for the bins would be great (would help for the fly plague) and extra hooks for the towels and cloths (there is currently 1 hook in the bathroom, but the campsite has space for 6 people).
We stayed in 'In the Navy' and what a perfect cottage for us with our 2 1\2 year old. It is stocked with everything we needed and I was so impressed how they catered for kids with plastic plates and cups! That you don't find often. We will definitely be back, staff is awesome and the setting is just out of this world, so peaceful! It was a wonderful break for us away from the city! Thank you.
The stay was incredibly nice. The cottage we lived in was modern, clean and tidy with everything you need. It is quiet and peaceful. We rested so well. The large lawn in front of the cottage was so nice for our one year old to play. We will definitely go back again.

It is indeed a very nice place, and I would recommend it, but there was something that bothered me, and that was flies in the campsite. I would recommend that they do something about it, otherwise we had a great stay.
8 of us stayed in the beautifully restored Old Cape Farm House. Well appointed rooms kept us cool even on the hottest days. We primarily went to this area to mountainbike on the challenging trails. Children rode their bikes around the farm and fished for Bass in the dams.
Our family of four (kids of 10 and 11 years) enjoyed the house and the farm tremendously, from arriving in light snow to the wonderful braai in the winter sun Sunday afternoon. The fireplace/braai in the house was kept alight most of the day and we played card and boardgames in front of the fire. Will definitely also make use of the camp terrain. Very neat ablution blocks. The manager was very nice and helpful. We were really rested after the weekend!
I can truly recommend this destination with confidence. Cottage was exceptionally well equipped, from electric blankets to air conditioners and everything in between. This was our second visit to Kaleo Guest Farm. That time we were nine guys with motorbikes. It was a great place to spend the evening. There was enough ice and kindling wood - Alet did her job well. I will visit Kaleo again.
From the moment I arrived, to my last moment was amazing. The self-catering units are so well equipped and there is even a pizza cutter! Everything was perfect, neat and clean. Lize and Brett were amazing. There was the possibility of load shedding, and they even brought a kettle that I could use on the fire if there was no power. The hospitality and kindness of everyone was overwhelming and I will definitely be back.

Friendly help from the managers, Alet. We as a business really enjoyed our end of year function here. The cottages were modern and beautifully renovated. Enough space to socialize. Everything was in great condition. I would definitely recommend Kaleo for any type of vacation. Whether it's family or friends together, or a business function yourself. The venue was beautiful, even though we weren't involved. I did take a look and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The stay in the cottages was comfortable and delicious. We also have a great time outside the houses. Excellent service.
We loved every second of our weekend away. The sheep in the fields around us made everyone laugh. Swimming in the dam was a highlight of our weekend! The Manor house was beautiful and clean. My kids especially enjoyed the little buck that wandered around outside and was so tame they could actually touch it! The farm is 30 minutes outside Ceres so remember to take this into consideration when planning your trip.
